I am a Canadian cake artist who was born in Tehran, Iran. I have completed multiple achievements in education, design, baking, and cooking. Some of the mentioned achievements include a Bachelor of science in graphic design, a diploma in “Chef de cuisine”, and multiple diplomas in cake decorating skills from different institutes and under the supervision of world renowned cake artists!

I used my skills in multiple ways to create my own business “Soraya’s Delight” offering custom cakes, cookies, sweets, pastries, and desserts. At a very young age I really enjoyed helping my mom around the kitchen cooking, baking, and garnishing the food dishes. I spent most of my free time drawing, painting, making crafts, stitching, knitting and cooking.

 

I graduated from the university as a graphic designer but never forgot about my passion for cooking, baking and discovering new ingredients and food recipes, therefore I decided to chase my dream and joined “Liaison culinary school”and graduated as a Chef de cuisine. I have also published my own cookbook “Authentic Iran”, and a recipes food blog, sorayasdelight.com.

Later on my curiosity to learn and explore led me to attend cake and cookie decorating classes and workshops.

Finally I have collected all my past skills in art, design, cooking and baking to establish my current business of custom cakes and sweets known as Soraya’s Delight!
